Top Gun: Maverick Star Lands Next Lead Movie Role In Action Remake
Top Gun: Maverick with Glenn Powell in the upcoming remake of the film .
The actor will be opposite Silence of the Lambs star Anthony Hopkins in Locked Up , a remake of the crime thriller 4x4 .
The new script is written by Michael Arlin Ross, known for his work on Paradise Lost, The Fallen and The Fallen .

According to Locked Out's synopsis, the film is a "character-driven thriller as he breaks into a luxury SUV and becomes trapped in a sprawling, deadly trap."
The film was produced by The Evil Dead and Spider-Man 's Sam Raimi and Nightbook director David Jarowski.
Raimi told Deadline that Yarovsky was the first chosen project manager after they worked together.

He said: “His script is so good and he's such a good conversationalist that we had to have Anthony Hopkins, the greatest actor of all time for our generation.
Glenn's character has a soul that is gradually revealed as the film progresses.
“He seems like just a thief, a guy who doesn't care, but as the film goes on you realize that he has a wife and a child that he loves and that he's been abused, and it's an experience that allows you to understand him. Think about what he did to her and live your life with him."

Most recently, Glenn played a lieutenant. Jake "The Enforcer" Ceres in Top Gun: Maverick with Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Val Kilmer, Jon Hamm and Miles Teller.
In a recent interview with IndieWire , Tom revealed that he gave him the most important piece of advice for the role, telling him to "trust the fakers."
“Sometimes you can fall into the trap of wanting to be in front of the camera. And in a movie like this, where you know there's a lot of attention, you don't want to be Draco Malfoy…but Tom advised. I was like, "It takes a lot of work."
“Everyone in the film doubts their skill; you're the only one who doesn't, so if you apologize, the film won't make it.'
